10 Hacks to relax

1 - Finding a moment in your day to put your feet on the earth, in the water, sand or grass then stand, close your eyes and just feel the sensations as you breathe

2- you can use a simple breathing practice to connect, activate the parasympathetic nervous system and calm the system ; inhale for 4 counts, hold for 6 counts then breathe out for 8 counts repeat at least 10 times. (up to you)

3 - you can go for a slow mindful walk either bare foot or not in nature, even 5-10 minutes of mindful slow walking, listening to birds, waves, smelling the scents of natures can help lower cortisol levels and calm the energies of the body

 4 -Enjoy a Warm Bath with Epsom Salt and a few drops of pure Lavender oil, enjoy dim lighting or even a candle and feel the sensations of support, warmth whilst you Ease muscle tension and help your body detox.  

 5 - enjoy a warm cup of Herbal Tea  

ideally Chamomile, peppermint, or lemon balm tea are great options because they have natural calming properties

 6 - Try Progressive body Relaxation 

- Lie down, use your mind to focus on each area and tighten each muscle group for a few seconds, then release. Start with your toes and work your way up through each muscle group including the face. you will feel some obvious relaxation.

8 - journaling your thoughts, just write whatever comes to mind and let the paper take your anger, frustration, joy, confusion, stress and let it out, writing it out helps to release and lets the mind relax more and not hold on to everything

9 - use aromatherapy in an oil burner or even a light spray around the room, lavender, frankincense, sandlewood can all help calm the nerves, improve mood and reduce anxiety.

10 - laughter is a great medicine, having a good laugh to a funny movie, meme, video can help release tension through the whole body.
